The Waimea is expected to leave Auckland at 5 p.m. to-day with cargo for Gisborne and Napier, and to arrive here on Thursday morning. The Poolta, with southern cargo, now at Napier, is due here to-morrow morning and ou completion of discharge and loading will return to Wellington, en route to southern ports to load again for Napier and Gisborne. The Kalingo, with general cargo from Sydney and coal from Newcastle, is now discharging at the wharf. She is expected to sail to-morrow evening for Picton, .thence Newcastle. The Kini is loading coal to-day at. Greymouth tor Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is due here about April 25 or 27. Tlic New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Hangitata is due at Tokomaru Bay from Auckland about April 25 to load frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London.

The New Zealand Shipping Company’s Horovata is to load at Gisborne about May 1, taking frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London. The Uakura, in place of the j’ukeko which is in dock for painting, will leave Auckland this afternoon with cargo for tho Coast, Gisborne, and Napier. She •is due here on Thursday morning and on completion of discharge will sail for Napier. Later she will proceed to Wellington to replace the Awahou.

The Awahou is to load at Wellington to-day and to-morrow for Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is expected hero on Saturday and will sail later for Wellington to undergo annual survey and overhaul.

The Tiroa arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Gisborne and tlie Coast and will load in place of the Margaret W—which is on the slip for overhaul—to-day and to-morrow for the Coast and Gisborne. She is expected here from Auckland direct on Thursday morning and will work the Coast on her way north again.

The Shaw, Savill Company advises that the Mahia, which is due at New Plymouth on April 29 in ballast from London to commence her Homeward loading, will complete at Wellington, Gisborne, and Auckland. The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Melbourne is due at Bluff to-day from Port Kembla. to commence her Homeward loading. She is to leave there again on Wednesday for Port Chalmers, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland to complete. A new coastal shipping service will ho inaugurated this .week between Lyttelton and Waitara. The steamer Mnluirangi, owned by a Taranaki firm, is to load at Lyttelton on. Wednesday for Waitara. It is claimed that a considerable amount in charges will be saved to consignees throughout Taranaki by having their cargo shipped to the port of Waitara.
