A momentous decision at the annua) session »o£ the Grand Orange Lodge of New Zealand was to secede from the Grand Orange Council ol Australasia under' whose jurisdiction the Grand Lodge of New Zealand has operated since its inception. .As New .Zealand is a self-governing Dominion, members felt that it was time that the Grand Orange Lodge of this Hr- cpunlry took unto itself self-governing K powers, and also make application for ' affiliation with the Imperial Grand Grange Council of the World. A proposal to hold no Grand Lodge session in 1934 on the score of expense was overwhelmingly defeated.
