Several millions of dollars worth of Philadelphia property goes on the auction (block on Monday, November 7, under sheriff’s sales. Approximately 2000 properties are up for sale, in 1740 distinct orders. No one can recall any 'such situation ever having existed before.
A Philadelphia newspaper, early this week, devoted 11 pages advertising details of the sales, ’printed in fine type. iClaims against the properties also run into many millions.
