JAPANESE SUCCESS
MANCHULI OPEKATIONS TERMINATION REPORTED TOKIO, Dec. 7. At a Cabinet meeting, the War Minister reported the successful termination of the Manehuli operations He had confidence that Japan and Manchukuo, in the closest co-operation with the Soviet authorities, could maintain peace in the Far East. As a result of a surprisingly swift movement along the Chinese Eastern railway, the Japanese, now control the line from Harbin to Manehuli. The vanguard was entering the latter city yesterday. At present, it is uncertain what force Japan will leave in Manehuli; but it is believed that it. will ho sufficient .to maintain .peace cm 'tjie border.
