WHALE OIL INDUSTRY
WHOLE OUTPUT PUKCHASED LONDON, Dec. 7. Unilever Limited, have purchased the whole of the 1932-33 season’s production of whale oil, which is estimated to cost £3,500,C00. The nows is welcome as last year many whaling companies were unable to negotiate sales owing to over-production in 1930-31. The price, of oil for the present season is about £l3 per ton, which should yield the companies a- small profit if the catches in the Antarctic are up to the estimates.
