SINGING SCHOLARSHIPS
PROVISIONS UNDER MELBA’S WILL (Received December 8,2 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dee. 8. Mr- Fritz Hart, of Melbourne Conservatorimn, a passenger on the Aorangi for, Honolulu; will arrange in Auckland the preliminaries' in connection with singing scholarships under the bequest of Dame Melba, which are open to pupils of Australian States and New Zealand. The awards will ho. made, early next year. Two scholarships of three years, and five of one year are provided, renewable for farther terms.
