A NOVEL PARTY
AORANGI AT SYDNEY (Received Decembd? 0. 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 8. The New Zealand Women’s Association held, a successful Christmas party aboard the Aorangi, which was lent for tho occasion by the Union Company. Several hundred were present. Tho 'decorations' included pohutukawa blooms and New Zealand scenery. Maori customs and music were kept prominently before the guests’ notice.
Mrs. J. W. Prentice presided, and the official party included Mr. Alfred Hill and Mrs. 1 j ill, Mr. 1,. J. Schmitt and Mrs. Schmitt, Major Ross, representing the Union Company, and Mrs. Horace Buck, who is returning to New Zealand after a world tour.
