PALMER BEATS RICHARDS ABORIGINAL CHECKED SYDNEY, last night. At the Stadium to-night in a boat of 12 rounds, Ambrose Palmer (12.0) outpointed Ron Richards (11.8), tSie Queensland aboriginal champion, who had gained 21 knock-outs in 18 months. In u stirring-contest, Palmer was most aggressive in tho clinches, where he piled up points. Richards, , however, greatly impressed and was stylish, while Palmer was fully extended. Richards also opened an old cut on Palmer’s eye and a considerable section of the onlookers would not have been surprised had he received the verdict.
