MOTUEKA’S NEW MEMBER
NO DEBUT Tins YEAR (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The new member for Motueka, Mr. 11. J. ilolyoake, is unlikely to get his opportunity to make bis first appearance in Parliament till the session resumes in January. ’ The election result, though beyond nil doubt, is so far preliminary, as the final figures cannot he returned until a recount is made. .Motueka is a scattered constituency, and all the ballot papers have to be returned to the main polling booth for an official count. Therefore, it<is not expected that tho writ can be returned till after this week’s adjournment.
