WRESTLING FIASCO

ELLIOT DISQUALIFIED REFEREE THROWN OUT (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In the fifth round of a wrestling match, King Elliot, 13.4, lifted his opponent, Anton Koolman, 11.5, over the ropes and dropped him sprawling into the front row of tho ringside seats. The referee, Mr. Rashbone, stepped up to Elliot to keep him away from Koolman, but to the amazement of the crowd Elliot lifted the referee over the ropes and dropped him into the auditorium also.

There was an uproar immediately. The referee, when, he returned to the ring, disqualified Elliot and awarded the match to Koolman. When Koolman and the referee had been put out of the ring, Koolman’s second approached Elliot and nearly went the same way as the others. Elliot struggled with him, but Koolman had reappeared and began to drag Elliot off.
