“MANOEUVRES” IN RUMANIA! BUCHAREST, Sept. 29. Motorists bad a bad time in Bucharest yesterday. Witliout any warning, all motor-cars were stopped by police, and the most elegant and most powerful of them were requisitioned on the spot. Despite protests, the infuriated drivers and passengers were made to get out and walk, while thq cars weije driven off to the military barracks. The reason given was that the vehicles were required by the army for forthcoming manoeuvres and the owners were promised that the cars would be returned when the army exercises are ovpr. Lorries were also requisitioned.
