PROFITS FROM OIL
AUSTRALIAN INQUIRY TAX EVASION ALLEGED CANBERRA, Dec. 3. An announcement that a Royal Commission is to inquire into the petrol oil profits is expected to result in the Cabinet considering the Taxation Department’s report on the companies’ operations. One allegation is said to bo that some companies derive a profit of 9d per gallon on petrol. '
