GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB DECEMBER’S OPENING MATCH Some excellent scoring Avas made in the opening match of the December Handicap series, conducted by the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club on Hie Mangapapa range last, Aveek. The club members shoot on Thursdays and Saturdays, and last week the Saturday men enjoyed better conditions than the mid-week shootists. as Avas indicated I>v the scores at 300yds. in particular. This distance is a tricky one on the .Mangapapa range, and the exploit of F. I*. Jeime in notching one point short of the possible at 3COvds.
