Tho proposal to raise £14,0C0 for tho installation of sewerage at Pukekoho was rejected by tho ratepayers at a poll on Wednesday by 175 votes to 102. The estimated' ccist of the scheme was about. £29,0C0, of which E9OOO represented labor to he provided free, of cost to the borough by the Unemployment Board, and £6200 represented moneys available from * previous loan authority.
