HASTINGS CARNIVAL
UNABATED INTEREST (Por Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. The Hastings carnival entered upon its third day yesterday without the slightest sign of any abatement in public interest, crowds continuing to eater into the spirit of the occasion wholeheartedly. The principal feature of the festivities was -a wonderful procession in the evening, -comprising about 500. entries, including nearly 300 vehicles carrying remarkable wcll-got-up trade, decorative and humorous exhibits. The'halfholiday yesterday was celebrated with a spectacular fete at the racecourse, attended -by -over 20,000 people, there being many thousand visitors to town. Nome aspects of the carnival were shot- by a talkie man for screening elsewhere.
1 Another notable attraction was daring stunt-flying day and night, by Plying Officer Gerraud, whose judgment is remarkable. The costume ball was also a great success.
