LOCAL BODIES' BILL
ROT TO BE BUSHED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The committee stage of tho Municipal Corporations Bill was commenced in the House to-night. Mr: W. Nash (Labor, Ilutt) pointed out that local bodies had hot yet had a reasonable opportunity of examining the measure. The Hon. A. Hamilton said that there was no intention to rush the measure through the House. 'Members could express their views on the short title. A .nifiiobQrt Why not leave the bill over till next year! The Minister said the bill would have to go through this year, but he was not particular whether the short, title, was passed or not during the present sitting. It was not proposed to deal with other clauses until later. After a. number of speeches hud been made on the short title, progress was reported.
