TIDES AT GISBORNE WHARF

SHIPPING ARRIVALS Friday, December 2. Awahuu, m v.. 2.40 a.m., 410 tons, C. W. Coldicutt, from Wellington and Napier. Thursday, December 1.

Pukeko, m.v.. 7.40 p.m., 912 tons, S. Join's, for Napier. Waimen, s.s., 8.35 p.m., 504 tons, A F. Inman, for Napier. Margaret W., m.v., 10.15 p.m., 3c<4 tons, D. D. Clark, for Napier.

The Waimea. completed the discharge <-,f her Auckland cargo here yesterday and sailed for Napier, from which port she is to lie dispatched to-day for Auckland. At the northern port she will load on Monday and Tuesday for Gisborne and: Napier. The Poolta is expected to leave Wellington to-day for Dunedin to commence loading for Napier and Gisborne. The Kaimai, which is loading coal for Napier and Gisborne, is expected to leave Grcymoutli today for Westport. The Mat area is expected to complete her Gisborne loading for Loudon to night, when she will sail for Auckland for final dispatch about December 14. The Awahou arrived early this morn ing from Wellington and Napier, and sails to-night for Wellington, via tie* Coast. The Pukeko sailed, last night lor Napier, thence Auckland to -load again on Monday and Tuesday for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The Koutuvmi loads at Lyttelton on Monday for Wnikokopu, Gisborne, and Coast bays, and is due here on Friday next.

The Margaret W. sailed last night for Napier. She is due hack here to-morrow morning, and sails in the afternoon for Tolaga Bay and Auckland. The. Mar gaicl W. will load again at Auckland on Monday and Tuesday for Uoa.it hays and Gisborne.

The Tiroa leaves Auckland to-morrow week for Coast hays and Gisborne. . A separate cargo service from Canada to New Zealand has been re-established by the Canadian National Steamships. The first steamer in the service is the Canadian Leader, which will arrive, at Auckland from Montreal to-day. While proceeding down the Waikato River with IGO tons of coal or, Tuesday, tile river steamer Rawhiti struck a snag, which penetrated the plating beneath the water-line, and one ol the 10 wateitight compartments was flooded. The vessel was run on to a sandbank and the water pumped out. Some of the coal was then shifted aft to till the bow. and the vessel was later able to continue t" Port Waikato, where she was beached for permanent repairs.
