ENGLAND-CAPE FLIGHT
VICTOR SMITH UNDAUNTED LONDON, Nov. 23. Victor Smith, the young South African airman, announces that next month lie, will attempt to break Mrs. Mollison's recently-created England to Capetown flight record of 102 hours o2 minutes. Smith made a forced landing in the desert through shortage of fuel while attempting to break the CapetownLondon record. Explaining the mishap, Smith says he landed in the desert 35 miles from Bori. He attracted the attention of some camel-drivers, and induced them to go to Bori for petrol. They were away two days, and in the meantime he cleared a runway by hand.
