One of the oldest settlers of llokianga, Mr. Thomas Norman Brocas, 64, died suddenly at Wlinrerakau, near Raweiie, on Friday. He had been hurrying to catch the cream launch and he was assisting to unload cargo, when he collapsed. Death was due to heart failure. Formerly Dunedin’s leading picture house, the Grand Theatre is to he reopened by Amalgamated Theatres, Limited, the headquarters of which are at Auckland. The building is to he completely renovated and altered, and shops on the ground level are to be dispensed with. ,
