FORMING A CABINET
GERMANY’S PROBLEM
NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE
LONDON, Nov. 29.
The Times’ Berlin eorrospoiient says that General Schleicher is continuing his consultations, aiming at a truce enabling the Reichstag to cany the country over the dangerous winter months, paying special attention to professional, economic and social interests. Trade union circles also conferred with employers’ associations. It is believed that if General Schleicher forms a Presidential Government it will not include party politicians, but representatives of employers and trade unions. Although the so-called free unions are connected with the Socialists, it is unlikely that they would he associated with ‘ a “Social Consecration” Cabinet, the success of which is at present doubted. If it fails, it is understood that flic only alternative will be the reappointment of Herr yon l’apen and a slightly reconstructed “fighting Cabinet,” wit'll far-reaching dictatorial powers. Herr von Papen is conducting separate negotiations in this connection.
