NATURAL CAUSES
YOUNG MAORI’S DEATH A verdict of death from natural causes was returned by the district coroner, Ah'. P. H. Harper, S.AL, this morning at the conclusion of the inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of Kawana Rangi Elm, 24. Elm died suddenly at 5 p.m. on Wednesday last, and tbo inquest, opened the following day. was adjourned alter the evidence of one witness bad been heard Sergeant Clark represented tbe police, at Hie inquest this morning. Dr. !!. Al. Gunn stated that he performed a post mortem examination on Thursday, a.ml found tbe body to be very emaciated. The immediate cause oi death was pulmonary embolism, supervening on a condition of generalised tuberculosis. ’1 be coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
