SIDING PICKETED
BY WHEAT FARMERS DEMAND FOR FEDERAL BONUS PERTH, Nov. 22. A message from Koordu, an important wheat centre, .120 miles northeast of Perth, states that four leading farmers who are members of the Wheatgrowcrs’ Union, are picketing the railway siding to prevent the delivery of wheat. This action follows a decision of a meeting convened by tho union at Korrelocking yesterday not to deliver wheat until the Federal Government lias promised to pay a bonus of -ltd a bushel. The decision, however, was made subject to the consideration of the Government’s proposals by the management committee of the union in Perth to-morrow. The only farmers who were permitted to deliver wheat wore those who were unaware of the decision to hold up wheat, and they were allowed to deliver only one load. During the day 50 loads' of IS bags each were delivered.
Farmers who deliver to the Narkal and Dukin sidings in the same district arc also preventing the delivery of wheat.
