CONVERSION OPERATION

LONDON, Nov. 28,

The Government on Thursday is distributing >1165,000,000 to holders of ,‘j per cent, war loans who have not converted, and also £50,000,000 interest. It is also repaying £150,000,000 worth of Treasury bonds. The Treasury will receive the second instalment of the 3j per cent, conversion loan, amounting to £150,000.000, and also the new 2 per cent. Treasury bonds, amounting to £140.000,000.

The difference of £70,000,000 will be found by normal bill operations. The Government will save £28,000,000 on the next half-yearly payments on the 3j- per cent, conversion loan.
