TRAIN FERRY SERVICE
BRITAIN TO CONTINENT ALTERNATIVE TO TUNNEL LONDON, Nov. 23. Convinced that the hist has been heard of the Channel tunnel, the Southern Railway lias .ieeided to introduce a train ferry service ci aiding sleeping ears to run between London and Paris and other ports on the Continent. The company is building throe train ferry vessels, piimarily intended for carrying merchandise traffic, but designed to accommodate a limited number of passengers. The service is expected to open between Dover and Dunkirk in 1954.
