’QUAKE RELIEF
MAYOR’S FUND DONATIONS
The Gisborne flowing Club’s racing skid which suffered damage on Friday in a collision with a snag was again in commission this morning, repairs having been effected during the week-end. After normal early-morning use. it was found to have taken no water, the repairs having been executed with a marked degree of skill. A short section of the damaged streak had to be replaced, and the boat tingled for a- distance of several feet along the keelson jointure, the repairs completely restoring the usefulness of the craft' without affecting its inherent qualities of speed and balance.
