POPULATION OF INDIA (Received Nov. 2S, 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Nov. 27. A census report just published gives 352,000,000 as India’s population, an increase of 10 per cent, in the last decade.
An unexpected and unexplained feature is that married males exceed married females by 000,000 —this is a country where polygamy is legal.
