DEMAND FOR WOOL
ALL COUNTRIES COMPETING YORKSHIRE MORE ACTIVE (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 2S, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 27. The Australian Wool Council’s representative, Mr. W. P. Devcreaux, reports that the depreciation of sterling stimulated Continental competition at the wool sales, all countries competing freely. Yorkshire .is now taking a better proportion of the offerings. Good combings, scoured, are slightly dearer; faulty and ininferior greasy, scoured, and all pieces, are in lesser demand at slightly lower prices; tine crossbreds arc selling well at folly October rates; medium and coarse descriptions show a 5 per cent, decline.
There is very little new business in Germany, and the futures market at Antwerp and Roubaix are quiet.
