The Gisborne Gas Company, Limited, is affording the gas-consuming public a most favorable opportunity of obtaining a new modern gas cooker of a value of £l7 10s for absolutely nothing. The ladies of Gisborne should use ,their own capabilities and seize ibis chance of having installed, free of charge, one of the very latest “New World” Rogulo-cjontroHed stoves, complete with back plate aud rack. There are also second and third prizes. This prize is given for the best Christmas fruit cake cooked in a gas oven, and the judging will be done by two wellknown local judges, who will be quite unaware of the maker of the cake until after the verdict is given. Full conditions and entry forms may he .obtained from the Gas Company’s showroom in peel street and ladies are advised to secure these early, as tho cakes to bo judged must he deliverd before S p.m. on Wednesday. December 14. If von have hot a gas cooker, now is the time to secure one, and if you win you get your cooker for nothing. Alt cakes remain the property of the competitors and will he returned on application on December 17. Everybody bakes a Christmas rake, so here is an opjbort unitv to win a prize with it.*
