HEAVY BEER TAX

As a protest against the everlasting increase in the tax on beer, Belgian breweries closed yesterday, tbo employees participating in a procession in which 40,000 marched the streets accompanied by 70 bands and banners blazoned with demands for cheaper beer. Special trains and motor coaches brought country participants.
