SLEEPERS FOR NAPIER LINE
TO BE SHIPPED TO AUCKLAND
As the result of tlreir sale by the Public Works Department to the Railway Department, approximately 0000 sleepers which were sent kero some time ago for use on the GisbonieXapicr railway line, are to be shipped to Auckland. The sleepers, which are sufficient in number to lay from three to four miles of track and which have been stacked at Mukarakn since their arrival, will he handled through Messes. Clare and Clare, who have secured the contract for their removal. The first shipment will be by the s.s. .Tiroa on Monday, and the others, probably two, at later intervals by a- vessel or vessels as arranged by the contractors.
