Small Radiator Leaks
W/lIEN the radiator springs a leak \Wf TTjoIoW the water-line, it is possible to: stop it without soap or other sealing materia]. First make sure that the filling cap is tin airtight tit, and then disconnect the* suction pipe from the wind-screen wiper and fit it to the end of the radiator . over-flow pipe. When the engine is started, a partial vacuum will be formed in the header tank, above the water. This will cause air to be drawn, in through the leak, instead of 'wafer,' leaking away. Unless tho leak ifl ii big one, the running of the engine Will not suffer, anil no water will he drawn into the, cylinders .unless the radiator has been overfilled or boiling; occurs.
