POSITION OF PROFESSORS (Par Pro.sfi Association.) WELLINGTON, Ibis 'day. Evidence was given before the Select Committee on •superannuation to-day on behalf of the university contributors U the teachers' superannuation fund. A statement was also made on helm]l of the Teachers’ Superannuation Board. Figures were quoted to show that if every contributor lived to exhaust the full actuarial value of his pension, the fund would still profit on an average ol more tlmn .91000 for each professor, and more than £3OO for each lecturer. It was mentioned that the present superannuation scheme was ft serious obstacle in the way of transfer to the Dominion of members of the staffs oi British universities
