NEW HIKUEANGI TROUBLE

WHANGAREI, this day
The Hikurangi Coal Company, whose mine was partially flooded a few days ago, is now called upon to extinguish a fire which resulted from spontaneous combustion during the dog watch last night. The portion of the mine affected has been sealed up, and it is expected to resume hewing to-morrow.
