BRITISH PARLIAMENT

OPENING CEREMONY

SPEECH PROM THE THRONE

(British Official Wireless.) Roc. 10 a.in. RUGBY. Nov. 21

The King, who, with the Queen, returned to London from Sandringham on .Saturday, will to-morrow drive in state to reopen Parliament.

As the proveseion reaches the House of Lords a salute of 21 guns will be given at St, James’ Park.

The speech which the King will deliver from the Throne in the House of Lords will foreshadow a heavy programme, legislative and otherwise, lor lie coming session. The principal bill before Parliament will lx* that dealing with unemployment insurance.

i: is probable that, in the references to international affairs the King’s Speech will give prominence to the disi.rmament quasi ion, while mention doubtless will be made of the World Economics Conference to be held in London early next year.
