THE GUARDIAN TRUST In his annual report on the operations ot the Guardian Trust and Executors’ Company of New Zealand, Limited, Mr. V r . J. Lamer, the chairman, makes the following interesting remarks: —“The Ltal value of assets now under administration and control of the company amounts to £10,432,837 Is Id, and it still retains a premier position amongst the trust companies in the Dominion. New business for the year, including appointments as trustee for debenture holders, affect assets to a total value of £949,792. arid apart from debenture trusts the actual new business in estates amounted to £868,292. Realisations and estates and agencies closed, in spite of! the difficult conditions ruling during the, year, reached the high, figure of £553,347, leaving, a not increase of £314,945 in assets under administration, excluding debenture trusts.

“Not only is the actual estate administration business showing a steady and progressive rate of increase, but the number of inquiries received as to the services the company can offer and the numerous advices received of nerv wills under which the company is appointed, indicate clearly that the policy of the company and the methods followed are giving satisfaction to clients generally. ■ ‘‘A great number of shareholders sensible to the advantages gained by appointing the Guardian Trust have notified us that they have arranged for the appointment of the company as their trustee and. executor. In these days of falling values and difficult financial conditions. the importance of the appointment of a corporate trustee, specialising and experienced in estate administration business, cannot he too strongly stressed.”
