SHORT WAVE RADIO
BRITISH EXPERIMENTS (British Official Wireless.) Rise. 10 a.in. RUGBY, Oct, 23. Sir Kingsley Wood, the PostmasterGeneral. addressing the Cardiff Chamber of Commerce, said experiments were now being carried out with encouraging results in the Post Office radio department for the utilisation of very short radio waves of from three to 10 metres. An attempt was being made to fit them into the telephone network. An experimental circuit* utilising such waves had been set up to bridge the River Severn some time ago. This radio link was included in a circuit the whole length of which was 300 miles, with very satisfactory results.
