As the result of a petrol contract between his firm and the board, Mr. A. H. Herbert intimated to the last meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board, Eketahuna. that he had been advised by the Auditor-General that ho automatically forfeited his seat on the board. His firm, be said, had not actually supplied the board with petrol, but had pumped it for an oil company.
