TROUBLE FEARED
N.S.W. DOLE DISPUTE NORTHERN MINERS’ PLANS SYDNEY, Oct. 23. The northern miners declare that they will not sign any dole forma containing the questionnaire, while the authorities are understood to be equally determined to adopt the stand for “No forms; no rations.” The men are planning that, if rations arc refused on Monday, the unemployed will lay siege to the dole de’pot, answering any disciplinary measures by camping on the doorsteps with their families till the Government submits.
The position is serious, affecting many thousands of unemployed, and the police are watching any attempt to interfere with the dole depots. -
