GAS STOVE EXPLOSION
- NURSE'S REMARKABLE ESCAPE
SYDNEY, May G. Nurse Nimmo, matron of Roslyn f*est Home, -Marriekville, and John Matuchka, 4 years, escaped serious injury when a gas stove exploded in the kitchen this morning. The matron was hurled from in front of the oven to the other side of the room, while the boy .was blown three feet into the air and landed near the doorway. The door of the oven was blown from its hinges, numerous windows in the house were broken, walls were cracked and the kitchen door was wrecked.
