PERTH, April 14. _ Marking an epoch in university life, Winthrop Hall, erected at a cost of £190,000, ns a result of tho benefaction’of the late Sir Winthrop Hackett, i formerly proprietor of the West Australian‘timl tho Western Mail, was officially opened by the Chancellor of ! the University, Sir Walter .Tames, today. A feature of the ceremony was an address bv Miss Patricia Hackett, daughter of tho benefactor.
