POLLING IN AUCKLAND
APPARENT LACK OF INTEREST (Per Press Association.l AUCKLAND, this day. Ideal weather prevailed for polling to-day, hut the mornings indications t weve that the poll would not be heavy. , although the polling officers anticipated busv time in the late afternoon. ' There was general comment on the apparent lack of interest. At Onehunga the polling tins morning was declared by, one official to no the slowest for 40 years and the interest much less than in the municipal election. However, it is admitted that the heaviness or otherwise of the poll is difficult to gauge at midday.
