PARIS, Sept.. 28. There will lie no champagne Of tlie vintage of 1931 to store In the world's wine cellars, it was learned yesterday. Bottlers announced that this year’s grape crop in tlie famous champagne region around Rheims had been ruined by a plague of insects known as the Coehylis. A cold, wet summer also wrought havoc with the vines. Wine-grapu growers in -the other celebrated districts, however, gave assurance that there would, bo no scarcity of tine wines. The red Bordeaux, particularly, will be plentiful and wine merchants arc well stocked with other recent vintages.
