THEFTS BY YOUNG MAN APPARATUS FOR EXPERIMENTS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A youth of 17 years who three times has broken i'fito premises and stolen apparatus for his chemical experiments, appeared iii the Police Court charged with the theft of glassware valued; at £12,: the property of the Gas Co., whose laboratory be had entered through a fanlight. , ■
It wss stated that the instruments were recovered intact, and mo attempt was made to dispose of . them. The youth had a bent for. chemistry, arid apparently was unable to> . resist the temptation to steal >. the instruments he could not afford to buy. The magistrate remanded , the; accused, Keith George Brierly, for a report from the probation officer, bail bcuilg allowed.
