DEPOSITORS’ PLIGHT APPEAL TO COMMONWEALTH (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Oct. 27, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 27. Representatives of all sections of the community at an enthusiastic meeting which packed the Town Hall demanded that tho Commonwealth Government should come to tho assistance of Government Savings Bank depositors with a note issue. Archbishop Kelly and Bishop Darcy Irvine made strong appeals to- the Commonwealth Bank board to aid necessitous depositors.
