WORK OF THE SESSION PROBABLE ELECTION DATE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Tho Rt. Jlon. G. W: Forbes stated to-day that it was impossible to fix the date for the general election until it was seen how the work of tho session proceeded. He also stated" that the question of how much legislation the Government intended to proceed with depended on (he progress made in the House. He was hopeful that the session would finish at the end of next week. The election would take place throe weeks or a month after the prorogation of Parliament.
