HARCCURT CUP ANNEXED WELLINGTON MEETING CONCLUDES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The second and concluding day of the Wellington Racing Club’s spring meeting was held ill line warm weather. Tho attendance was large and the track good, though a trifle soil', owing to heavy overnight rain. Croupier scored a brilliant win in the Ilarcourt Cup, running his opponents off their feet and recording the best time of any winner of the race. tiilvermine was always handy and scored well in the Pearce Handicap, but both Tobaccoland and Koznn in the sprint came from Hie rear of the field. The lotalisator put through £37,344 10s, compared with £52,334 on the same day last. year. WAVERLEY RACING CLUB GIBRALTAR’S CUP VICTORY (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, last, night. The annual meeting of the Waver]ey Racing Club was held to-day in line weather, though .the sky .was overcast. The attendance was good, and the track was in good order. The lotalisator handled £7719 compared with £10,605 lbs last Labor Day. In tho Cup Monaghan held a lead of six letjghts six furlongs from home 'but the field bunched across the top. Gibraltar followed Monaghan into the straight the next being Habit and Richfield. Tho favorite went oil to bold off Richfield’s challenge and win by half a length. Monaghan was fourth. Time, 2.12.
