A BROADCAST ADDRESS REFERENCE TO POLITICS (Received October 26, noon.) MELBOURNE, October 26 During an address broadcast from Wesley Church, the Rev. T. C. Rentoul was commenting on Australian political affairs, including the appointment of Sir Isaac Isaacs as Governor-General, when 3LO officials “applied the gag.” Mr. Rentoul said: "People at Home regard Sir Isaac Isaacs’ appointment as an insult to the King. We must try to remedy it as soon as we can get a change of Government.”
At this point tho broadcast was stopped.
