SEARCH FOR GOLD REEF
EXPEDITION TO CENTRAL AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, Or t. 13. A wireless message was received today from the expedition which set out t;’ find a reef of gold in Central Australia, as directed by Air Lasseter, who lost his life in the wilds while searching for it. Tho expedition, which is led by Air. Robert Buck, reported that the blacks were bringing in plenty of game, and were friendly. The party, after a 15 days’ journev across the. desert, had reached the Peterman Range, and was within 50 miles of the supposed location of the reef.
