HANDICAP SHOOT FINAL 500 AND 600 YD. RANGES There was a margin of only three points between the aggregate scores of the first nine marksmen in connection with the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club’s monthly handicap competition, which was finalised on Saturday afternoon. The match decided the winners of the dub trophies, and the ranges shot over during last week were 510 and 60Oyds. The' first trophy went to James Johnstone, with a total score of 149 out of a possible 160, and J. Faulkner and Colin Fine took the second and third trophies respectively, the former with a total of 149, and tlie latter with 148. A new ajid enthusiastic member of the club, C. Miles, in the weekly handicap shoot, took first plate with a total of 75 out of a possible 80, and James Fine was runner-up with 74.
