The potato market has slipped as far as on truck price is concerned,- to new low levels, states a Christchurch paper of Frida)! Potatoes) have actually been bought in small quantities to complete consignments, at 12s 6d per ton on trucks. This price is being accepted by growers, who have potatoes in .sacks or are digging. There is little likelihood of pits being opened at this price. There are still potatoes to dig, though probably jhe area is small. Traders with a good many years’ experience cannot recall such a price. The f.0.b., s.i., value is about 32s 6d ppr toil, There is no change in other produce prices.
